Cannabis Strains - Sativas

Sativa plants:

Sativa strains are thought to have originated in warmer weather regions close to the equator such as Africa, Southeast Asia, Colombia, Jamaica, Mexico, Thailand, and Vietnam. Sativa strains are found growing wild today throughout many tropical areas of the world.

Sativa plants are typically tall (over 6 feet tall), narrow, and lanky plants with long, thin, and narrow light green leaves. Their branches are typically spread out and grow upwards. They generally have sparse, less dense, somewhat feathery flowers. Because they grow larger, sometimes up to even 20 feet tall, sativa strains are great for growing outdoors. Sativa plants typically produce more of a yield come harvest than indica plants, but this larger yield is often offset by the sativa plant’s longer growing cycle, taking anywhere from 10-16 weeks to fully flower.

Smell and taste:

Sativa strains are known for smells and tastes that range from pine, grass, citrus, and other tropical flavors.
