Cannabis Strains - Hybrids

Hybrid strains are created from cannabis plants that are cross bred with each other. There are very few pure sativa or pure indica strains. Most strains are a hybrid blend of the two. They can inherit traits from both of the parent strains. Hybrids can be either Indica or Sativa dominant in their genetic makeup and effects. Strains can be created that allow the various properties of the two parents to blend with each other and create something entirely different from either of the two strains on their own.

Hybrids are typically grown on farms or greenhouses from a combination of sativa and indica strains. Many hybrid cannabis plants are grown in order to increase the THC percentage, but each type has a unique ratio of the two cannabinoids.

The appearance of hybrid strains depends on the combination of the parent plants.
